RECORDING SESSIONS, not just loop packs.
Live-performed. Analog-printed. Studio-engineered for the way producers actually build tracks.
Digital Viking Studios Drum Loop Packs Vol. 1 & 2 are bespoke, live-performed drum collections — each loop pre-composed, performed by drummer Dan Drohan, and captured through a purpose-built analog signal chain at DVS. These aren’t just stereo bounces. Every pack includes full mix loops, individual mic multitracks, hardware-printed parallel compression, and 100% wet effect versions recorded as live performances in their own right. The result is a wet/dry arrangement engine that lets producers stack dry punch, spatial room depth, and evolving crush textures — and build song sections instantly.

What’s Inside Every Studio Drum Loop Pack
Each Digital Viking Studios drum loop pack is built around a multi-component delivery system designed for producers who work at the arrangement level, not just the loop level. Performed on a 1991 Yamaha Recording Custom — widely regarded as one of the great studio recording drum kits — and shaped through a purpose-built analog signal chain including Telefunken, Royer, and Warm Audio microphones running through Warm Audio API and Neve-inspired preamps, and WA-76 hardware compression.
Every studio drum loop pack includes full mix loops with hardware-printed parallel compression, individual mic multitracks (only the relevant mics per loop), 100% wet effect versions recorded as live performances, and extended effect passes for arrangement building. Loops range from 2 to 4 bars, with some running 8 bars. Wet loops run approximately 16 bars, giving producers extended material to work across a full song section.
The wet/dry architecture is the core creative tool: stack a dry multitrack loop against a 100% wet effect pass and a live-played effect performance, and you have the foundation of a full song section — without touching a single plugin. Some wet tracks double naturally against the dry. Others create deliberate, left-field contrast. Both are useful. This is not a stereo loop pack.
Recorded at Digital Viking Studios using the Telefunken M82, M88, and Royer R-121 ribbon microphone as part of a true mid-side stereo room capture system. Learn more about Digital Viking Studios and the sound behind the sessions.
